The reading changes at midnight Central Time, and it stays the same all day.
But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.
Plain English
God said to Israel, the people He created and formed, "Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine." Redeemed means bought back and rescued, and thee, thy, and thou mean you and your. He called them by name and claimed them as His own. Those who belong to this same God through Jesus trust a Lord who does not treat His people as strangers.
Devotional
In a crowded clinic you can feel like a number on a clipboard. Then someone looks up and says your actual name, and you are a person again. God told Israel He had redeemed them and called them by name. If you are His through Jesus, you may take comfort that He knows His people and does not misplace them.
