The reading changes at midnight Central Time, and it stays the same all day.
Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.
Plain English
David says, "Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart," and thine means your. Waiting here is not empty sitting and not giving up. It is looking to God with courage until He strengthens your heart. He says to wait, and then says it again, because we are quick to rush ahead of Him.
Devotional
You sit on the porch because the news you are waiting for has not come, and the phone stays face down so you will not check it every minute. Courage, in this psalm, is the bravery to wait. God strengthens the heart of the person who waits on Him. The quiet is not proof that He has forgotten to help.
