The reading changes at midnight Central Time, and it stays the same all day.
The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. To the chief singer on my stringed instruments.
Plain English
Habakkuk says, "The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds' feet," so he can walk on his high places. Hinds' feet are the sure feet of a deer on steep ground. High places are the hard, high paths. The last line of the verse is a note to the music leader, because this prayer was also a song, and the promise inside it is steady feet from God's strength.
Devotional
The gravel drive rises behind the house, and loose stones slide under a careful shoe. You need feet that hold more than you need speed. God gives His people strength like the sure feet of a deer, so a high, hard path can be walked. Lean on that strength for the slope in front of you, not for an imaginary easy road.
