The reading changes at midnight Central Time, and it stays the same all day.
Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth. Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee. Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.
Plain English
'Wisdom is the principal thing' means wisdom is the most important thing to get. Do not forget it or turn away from it, because wisdom will guard you if you do not abandon her. In all you gain, make sure you also gain understanding.
Devotional
At the lumber counter, the right board matters more than a fancy extra you do not need. Leaving the instructions in the truck makes a mess at home. Love God's wisdom enough to keep it close and use it.
