The reading changes at midnight Central Time, and it stays the same all day.
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.
Plain English
'The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,' and this fear is reverent respect, not terror. It is the awe of people who take God seriously. 'The knowledge of the holy is understanding,' which means knowing the Holy One is where real understanding grows.
Devotional
Before the first hymn, the room grows quiet, and people are not panicking. They are remembering whose presence they are in. Wisdom starts with that respect for the Lord, and you can carry it from the pew to the parking lot.
