The reading changes at midnight Central Time, and it stays the same all day.

Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths. Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.

Psalm 25:4-5King James Version

Plain English

'Shew me thy ways' means show me your ways, and thy means your. The prayer also asks God to lead in His truth, because He is the God of salvation, and thou art means you are. Guidance and waiting belong together, since the one who prays waits on God all day.

Devotional

At a crossroads with a folded map, guessing can cost you an hour. You ask, and then you wait long enough to hear the answer. God invites that kind of prayer: show me, teach me, lead me, and I will wait.
