The reading changes at midnight Central Time, and it stays the same all day.

Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

John 16:13King James Version

Plain English

Howbeit means however, and when the Spirit of truth has come, He will guide you into all truth. He will not speak of Himself, which means He will not speak apart from what He hears. Shew means show, and Jesus promised this true Guide rather than a voice you have to invent.

Devotional

Fog on a familiar road can hide the ditch and the driveway alike. You are glad for someone who knows the way and tells you the truth. The Holy Spirit leads God's people into truth, including truth you do not yet see.
