The reading changes at midnight Central Time, and it stays the same all day.
The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy. He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever. He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him. As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
Plain English
The Lord is merciful and gracious. He is slow to anger, and plenteous means His mercy is abundant, so He does not chide, or scold, forever, and He has not paid us back as our sins deserve. He removes transgressions as far as the east is from the west, and those who fear Him hold Him in reverent respect, not terror.
Devotional
Drive east as long as you like, and you never meet the west. The sky over a field is higher than any ladder in the barn. God's mercy is that high, and He has moved our sins that far.
