The reading changes at midnight Central Time, and it stays the same all day.

Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.

Luke 15:10King James Version

Plain English

'I say unto you' means I say to you. Joy breaks out in the presence of God's angels over one sinner who repenteth, and repenteth means turns back. One person who turns is enough, and heaven treats that single homecoming as good news.

Devotional

A family can fill a doorway with cheers when one person walks back in. The angels' joy is even fuller. God is not bored by one sinner who repents, whether that person is someone you love or you yourself.
