The reading changes at midnight Central Time, and it stays the same all day.

For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Matthew 6:14-15King James Version

Plain English

'If ye forgive' means if you forgive, and trespasses means wrongs. Jesus says your heavenly Father forgives those who forgive others, and He will not forgive the one who refuses. Forgiving someone does not mean staying where you are being hurt.

Devotional

A heavy sack gets harder to carry the longer you refuse to set it down. The grudge can feel like proof that you were right. You can release the debt before God, tell the truth, and still get to safety.
