The reading changes at midnight Central Time, and it stays the same all day.
Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
Plain English
'Justified by faith' means made right in God's court by trust, not by a pile of good deeds. Through that faith we have peace with God. The peace comes through our Lord Jesus Christ, and it is a settled relationship, stronger than a calm mood that can change before supper.
Devotional
A long quarrel can end with a handshake that means the war is over, even if you still feel tired. The peace is real anyway. Through Jesus, people who trust Him have peace with God on afternoons when their feelings are not settled.
