The reading changes at midnight Central Time, and it stays the same all day.
I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.
Plain English
David acknowledged his sin unto God, and unto thee means to You. He did not hide his iniquity, and hid means hidden. He confessed, God forgave, and Selah means pause, because honest confession met real forgiveness.
Devotional
Some truths are hard to say at a kitchen table, even to God, so you clear your throat and use ordinary words. David did not hide his iniquity, and God forgave him. Pause there, and sit with the forgiveness.
