'Children are an heritage of the Lord,' and lo means look. Heritage means a gift placed in your care, and the fruit of the womb is His reward, not a trophy we earn. If that gift was never given, or if a child is gone, this verse is not a score against you.
Devotional
A sleeping child is a weight of trust in your arms, not a prize for the shelf. Parents and grandparents get to guard, teach, and love what God has given. Empty arms are real too, and God sees them.
