The reading changes at midnight Central Time, and it stays the same all day.
Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.
Plain English
Nothing should be done through strife or vainglory, which means rivalry or empty pride. In lowliness of mind, each one should esteem others, and esteem means value them. Look also on the things of others, which means their concerns, while still telling the truth about your own needs.
Devotional
In a waiting room, it is easy to rehearse only your own appointment. Then you notice the person beside you twisting a handkerchief. Ask about their concern and listen, because valuing them does not erase you.
