The reading changes at midnight Central Time, and it stays the same all day.
And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
Plain English
Paul says "we glory in tribulations also," which means we boast in what God can do in our troubles, not that the pain feels good. "Tribulation worketh patience" means trouble produces endurance, endurance produces "experience," a tested character, and that produces hope. "Hope maketh not ashamed" means this hope does not put us to shame. God's love is "shed abroad," poured out, in our hearts by the Holy Spirit.
Devotional
A cook stands over a pot of soup that has to simmer all afternoon. She does not enjoy the waiting, but the slow heat is what brings the flavor. Trouble can work that way in a believer. God uses the long simmer to grow endurance, then a tested character, then hope, because his love is poured into the heart.
