The reading changes at midnight Central Time, and it stays the same all day.
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
Plain English
"There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man." Hath means has, so what tempts you is common to people, not a strange shame that belongs only to you. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted "above that ye are able," beyond what you can bear. With the temptation he makes "a way to escape," a way through, so you are able to bear it.
Devotional
A harsh reply is already typed on the phone, and a thumb hovers over send. You are not the first person who wanted to strike back. Paul says the temptation is common to man, and God is faithful. There is a way through: set the phone down, tell God the truth, and bear the moment without sending the words.
