The reading changes at midnight Central Time, and it stays the same all day.
Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
Plain English
Paul blesses "the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort", and mercies are tender kindnesses. This God "comforteth us in all our tribulation," comforts us in every trouble. He does it so we can comfort "them which are in any trouble," with "the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God." The comfort you receive is meant to be passed on.
Devotional
A friend gets hard news in a parking lot and does not know what to do with her hands. You sit beside her because, years ago, someone sat beside you. Paul says the God of all comfort comforts us in our tribulation so we can comfort others in theirs. The kindness you were given was never meant to stop with you.
