The reading changes at midnight Central Time, and it stays the same all day.
Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
Plain English
"Take no thought for your life" means do not be anxious about your life, about "what ye shall eat" or "what ye shall put on." "Meat" means food, and "raiment" means clothing, and life is more than food, and the body is more than clothes. "Behold the fowls of the air," look at the birds, and they do not plant or store grain, "yet your heavenly Father feedeth them." Then Jesus asks, "Are ye not much better than they?"
Devotional
Birds crowd a feeder while snow sits on the rail, and they did not plant a garden or store next month's seed. Jesus says your heavenly Father feeds them, and you are of much more value than they. You may still buy groceries, but you do not have to carry tomorrow in a knot of fear.
