The reading changes at midnight Central Time, and it stays the same all day.

Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.

Psalm 107:8-9King James Version

Plain English

"Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!" The psalm wishes people would praise the Lord for his goodness and his wonderful works. The next line tells why, "He satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness." Satisfieth means satisfies, and filleth means fills, and God feeds the hungry soul, not only the empty stomach.

Devotional

A bowl of stew goes across the fence to a neighbor who has had a thin week. The bowl matters, and the psalm also speaks of a deeper hunger. God satisfies the longing soul and fills the hungry soul with goodness. Praise him for wonderful works that reach the inside of a person, and for food that helps the body too.
