"It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High." Thanks and praise are called a good thing, not a leftover if you have time. "To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night." Shew means show, and morning is for telling his steady love, and night is for telling his faithfulness.

Coffee is poured in the morning, and a small lamp clicks on beside the bed at night. Psalm 92 gives those hours a job. Show forth God's lovingkindness in the morning, and his faithfulness every night. It is a good thing to give thanks to the Lord and to sing praises to his name.
