The reading changes at midnight Central Time, and it stays the same all day.
As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
Plain English
"As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him." The way you received him, by trust, is the way you are to walk in him. Be "rooted and built up in him," like a plant with deep roots and a house going up on a firm base. Be "stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught," made firm in the faith you were taught, "abounding therein with thanksgiving," overflowing with thanks.
Devotional
A young tree needs roots that go deep, and a new room needs studs that stay square. Paul puts both pictures on the same life. As you received Christ Jesus the Lord, walk in him, rooted and built up, and made firm in the faith you were taught. Let that life abound with thanksgiving.
