Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
Plain English
"They shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us." Interpreted means this is the translation, and Emmanuel means God with us. The verse also says a virgin shall be with child and shall bring forth a son. The wonder is not only the birth, and it is the name, and in Jesus, God comes near and is with us.
Devotional
A child is afraid while rain hits the window, until a parent sits on the edge of the bed. The storm may still be loud, and the child is not alone. Matthew says they shall call his name Emmanuel, which means God with us. Jesus is God come near, and you can ask him to be with you in the room you are in.
