The reading changes at midnight Central Time, and it stays the same all day.
And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them.
Plain English
"The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them." Returned means they went back to their field and their work, and they glorified and praised God for everything they had heard and seen. "As it was told unto them" means it matched what they had been told. The message and the sight agreed, and praise was their road home.
Devotional
The shepherds had sheep to get back to. The night did not turn them into people with nothing left to do. They returned glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, as it was told to them. Ordinary work and praise can share the same road, and what God says and what he shows belong together.
